A Lecture on: "The Three Pillars of Sacred Art"

A Brose In-house Event at Küster-Palm-House
Using examples of images, the lecture by Tatiana Burghenn-Arsénie will present the motifs, techniques, color schemes and regional differences of icon painting.
The artist focuses on the sacred painting of her homeland, Romania, which has its own history and is characterized specific features.
Deeply connected with the traditions of Romania, the artist began painting after studying this archaic technique and reached a level of mastery in glass and icon painting.
Impressive in her art is the coloring of images that depict religious or folklore themes, which are rendered with in-depth knowledge of traditional techniques and color application.
Guests will have the opportunity to view the genesis of an icon.

The exhibition is open from July 4th, 2010 to January 30th, 2011. Brose House is always open on Wednesdays and Sundays from 14.00 till 17.00 o'clock or by appointment.
